Excellent Job

Mark came round within and hour of my call and the work was all complete within the week while we were away on holiday. I can’t fault the service. Excellent result, the floor looks great. Beautiful reclaimed wood floor I was impressed with these guys from start to end of the process. Mark was quick and honest to produce a highly competitive quote, delivered samples to my house and then was able to start work around my schedule. The end result is superb and the customer service was amazing even when we managed to lock ourselves out of our own home for half a day, Mark still finished on time and on budget. I would recommend Stockbridge to anyone. Proper floor craft! We had just moved back to Edinburgh after many years away and had no idea which tradesmen to employ but wanted to use someone local. Mark was quick to respond, speedy with his quote and he and his team have done a wonderful job, going out of their way to do that little bit extra. They stripped, repaired and polished our old wooden floors, and when we realized they did painting as well, we happily employed them for that too. Everyone was very friendly, polite and helpful and the whole place is looking wonderful thanks to them. Can’t recommend the enough.

First-class service

Mark provided a brilliant service, my floors are completely transformed and at a reasonable price. His team were tidy and efficient. I would definitely recommend them. First-class service I rang Mark after reading the reviews on Google and he was round at my house within the hour! How’s that for service. We got a couple of other quotes and Mark’s was very competitive but what really impressed was his friendliness and knowledge. We always try and use local tradesman and Mark and his team were based just around the corner. We actually went on holiday and just let the guys get on with it. By the time we came back, we couldn’t believe the finish on our floorboards. The repairs were of the highest quality and overall we were thoroughly delighted. A friend used another company and wasn’t at all happy with the finish when compared to ours. We’ll definitely use them again for another place. Fantastic job! We had our living room and hall floors sanded and it looks fantastic. The damaged floorboards were replaced and all holes filled. We went away for a few days and left the team to it. We came home to a surprisingly clean house. Mark and his team obviously made a big effort to clean up. I would not hesitate to recommend Stockbridge Flooring. Thanks again.

Excellent job

Mark and his team did an excellent job on our oak flooring, both repairing and replacing damaged boards and sanding and varnishing. They were very efficient, pleasant to deal with and left everything clean and tidy. They are a pleasure to deal with and I would have no hesitation in recommending this company. Very pleased We chose Stockbridge Flooring based on these reviews and weren’t disappointed. We had our whole flat sanded, a hearth taken out, some replacement floorboards plus other fixing and the results look great. Mark was very helpful and provided us with good sound advice. We’d happily recommend to others.

Fantastic! These guys are great. 2 of my friends had used them, and when I decided at the last minute that I wanted to sand my floors before moving in – they managed to fit me in within a week. (big thank you!) The floor is a great finish – and they even cleaned up afterward! I got Stockbridge Flooring to lay a new engineered wood floor for me in the hallway, lounge, living room and a bedroom. Mark provided great advice which was an enormous help in deciding on the type of Kahrs Flooring to put down in very different rooms. The end result is amazing the continuous flooring has totally transformed the house making it appear brighter and larger. Happy to recommend their services.

Excellent company.

Mark was very professional and knowledgeable I e-mailed Stockbridge Flooring for a quote and Mark rang back within 15 minutes to set up an appointment. We were looking for hardwood flooring but Mark confirmed we could use the existing floorboards that had been covered by carpet for years. This also halved the price of the job and the quote was very reasonable. Mark and his team turned up as promised and carried out the job to a very high standard. The floor was sanded, the gaps filled in, some boards replaced and three coats of varnish applied. It looks amazing and Mark was there to provide advice on how to keep it looking good. I have recommended Mark to many people since and would have no hesitation in using again. Excellent company. I have recently had work done by your company. I found the staff to be helpful, friendly and reliable. Although faced with setbacks they persevered until the work was completed to a very high standard. The recommended Kahrs rustic oak flooring in the living room, kitchen and hall compliments the Victorian apartment. They replaced boards in the bedroom blend in well with the sanded floor. Overall I am delighted with both the service and the results and will have no hesitation in recommending your company to friends and family.

They sourced the missing flooring that others informed me they could not get. The floor was then sanded and lacquered to an extremely high standard which I am delighted with! The finish is second to none! Mark and his team at Stockbridge Flooring had my furniture removed for me by a local storage company and brought back 2 days later. (which was good advice as nothing was in the way and could get dusty) .They started on Thursday morning and the whole process took 2 days to finish and I was back to normal by Friday evening! Thank you to Mark and his team and would highly recommend them! thanks again.

they surpassed my expectations

Stockbridge Flooring are great Our floors are FAB! Mark and his team worked really hard and went the extra mile to do more than we asked in a short space of time. The staining is beautiful and the advice about color and finish was spot on. We totally recommend them. Mark and his team have done a superb job laying a new parquet floor for us in a traditional New Town dining room. Fine materials and quality craftsmanship combined in a beautiful result that is completely in keeping with the period. It has added a wow factor to the room, but without looking brand new – quite a feat. It is too early to say how it will age, but at this point, I can recommend for looks the 3 stage solvent-based polyurethane varnish they use on new oak. Mark did his best to accommodate – cheerfully – our exacting requirements. Not the cheapest quotation we had, but decidedly good value. You have to pay for quality, and that is what Stockbridge Flooring deliver. I got several quotes to have my lounge and hallway floors sanded. Mark was great – he gave me confidence that they would do a good job, and they surpassed my expectations by doing an amazing job. Several bits of the floor needed repairing, and these were done to the highest standard. I can honestly say that the floor looks far better than I ever would have imagined. I would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone who is thinking about having their wooden floors sanded or worked on.

Floor Sanding We’re so delighted with our floors- excellent service and done really quickly. Mark came round and quoted the next day and we were really impressed with his knowledge. Our living room, bedroom and hall was all done within two days, and at a very reasonable price. The finished look is great! I’d definitely recommend them if you want great floors with no hassle. Stockbridge Flooring sanded and varnished our dining room floor. We had wanted this done for some time but as the floor was covered with a thick layer of bitumen we had convinced ourselves it would be impossible. Friends had their floors sanded by Stockbridge Flooring and recommended them so we decided to see if they could help. Although Mark said the bitumen was the worst he had seen they did a great job and it is impossible to tell the boards were once entirely black! With a baby and toddler in the house and the dining room the only way to access the kitchen we were worried about disruption in getting the floor sanded. However, the room was sealed off to keep any dust contained, the dining room cleaned after the work was finished and the job completed as quickly as possible. The disruption was kept to an absolute minimum. We will be getting our other floors sanded soon.

With a new baby in the house, we new had to do something about our floorboards before they started crawling. really quick to come round and quote and the job was done on time and to a very very high standard with no mess! I would highly recommend. Only complaint would be that they did such a good job I will need to get more rooms done and will certainly use them again. Absolutely delighted. The greatest testimony for any business is to use them again. I have had Stockbridge Flooring complete 3 very different jobs for me over the years and each one was thorough, professional and I would absolutely recommend them without hesitation.
